Subject :Class to Performance
To... all the senior or knowledgeable people in HT.

Request you to kindly clarify the class in which a horse gains more experience.

Like it starts with 3y, V , IV, III, II, I and so on.

in the above scenario there are again sub classes or categories like 3yo, 4yo, 4u, 5u, 3&4y only, 6u and so on.

My question is how to put the above age categories in an ascending order.

Like a bunch has horses which ran and performed well in 4u & 5u with almost same timings, then which will have a better chance.

I hope i have put my question.... request to pls explain.

Very Complicate question but merited.
Maiden 2y are too early to evaluate.
Maiden to penalty to handicap as 3y old
Highest rated in each category but Handicap races for 3y will be the best experienced.

Coming to class IV - 3y old with highest rating and having cleared maiden status is considered as most experienced.

In a nutshell the rating at which a horse enters a particular class determines the level of experience.

As far the sub classes are concerned open class is superior to 4y which is superior to 5y.

A horse will give different timings in open class, 4y & 5y for similar distance and same handicap - as timing is based on the pace at which the race is run.

Naresh,

Your question is very convoluted and difficult to understand.
Thoroughbreds peak at four years and if lucky hold their form for another two years or so.

WOW...

WHAT QUESTION YOU ASKED. ONCE YOU KNOW THE PERFECT ORDER, THEN SURELY YOU CAN BECOME TOP TIPSTER. IN PRACTICAL IT IS NOT POSSIBLE IN INDIAN RACING SYSTEM [ MEANS IT WONT WORK OUT ]. A CLASS V HORSE FROM MADRAS RACE CENTRE WON CLASSIC IN BANGLORE. A SIMPLE EXAMPLE. KNOWLEDGE IS DIVINE, BUT IN RACING THE MORE YOU LEARNED THE MORE YOU ARE THE LOOSER.

MORE KNOWLEDGE PUNTERS MAY ANSWER. LET ME SEE THEIR VERSION AND HOW THEY FARE IN THEIR SELECTIONS, IN THE COMING DAYS.

I WILL LET YOU KNOW MY SIMPLE BASICS IN SELECTING A HORSE IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS

1] WHICH HORSE RAN WITH BETTER HORSES.

2] DISTANCE SUITABILITY

3] RUNNING STYLE AND PERFORMANCE IN THE PREVIOUS OUTINGS.

4] LATEST CONDITION OF THE HORSE.

5] TAKE BEST TIMING AND HANDICAPING OF THAT PARTICULAR HORSE PERFORMANCE.

FROM THE ABOVE YOU MAY GET TWO OR THREE CHOICES FROM EACH RACE.

6] BUT THE CRITICAL PART YOU NEED TO LEARN THE INTENTIONS OF CONNECTIONS.

THE LAST POINT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE. WHO KNOWS THIS LAST POINT THEY ARE ALMOST WINNERS EVERY DAY.

ALL THE BEST
